Tobacco Cessation

Tobacco dependence is one of our nation’s most preventable health problems. It has considerable impact on workplace productivity, and on the health and well-being of employees and their families. Quitting tobacco takes practice and requires additional support to be successful.

health@work™ provides on-site tobacco cessation classes using curriculum from the American Lung Association, along with CO monitoring. Each program can accommodate up to 25 participants. During six one-hour classes over five weeks, participants learn the skills essential to successful quitting, including:

  • Building motivation to quit
  • Creating a plan of action
  • Setting a date to quit
  • Coping with withdrawal symptoms
  • Preventing relapse
  • Maintaining a tobacco-free lifestyle
